Zelensky Outlines Steps Ukraine is Taking to Join the EU

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that the country continues to work towards joining the European Union, highlighting three main areas of focus.

The first goal is for Ukraine to become a full member of the EU. According to Zelensky, this is vital not only for the country’s economy and politics but also for its security.

The second focus is on establishing closer ties with European institutions ahead of full membership. Zelensky stated that Ukraine needs to be more involved in European programs and processes.

The third point is Ukraine's expectation of ongoing support from Europe, particularly during the winter months to maintain the country’s stability.

Zelensky noted that this year, Ukraine has already made progress in its EU membership negotiations and is preparing to open new phases of discussions.
