In a conversation with reporters in the courthouse, businessman Samvel Karapetyan addressed the approximately 6.8 billion dram property claim filed against him and other defendants, labeling it illegal.

"This is an ordinary, senseless judicial process. They cannot move forward in any other way, so they want to take something from people's pockets," he stated.

When asked by a journalist whether possible confiscation would affect his assets, Karapetyan replied that nothing threatened him. "My capabilities will not decrease; if necessary, we will increase them again. We have that potential. They still have to digest the confiscation. Taking a step is one thing, digesting it is another," he said.

Commenting on the situation surrounding the Armenian Electric Networks (AEN), he noted that, in his assessment, the company has been "taken away" from its rightful owners.

Karapetyan also responded to a question regarding the salary of Romanos Petrosyan, the head of the temporary management of AEN, stating that he had no information about the amount. "Everyone will have to answer for what they have done one day," he remarked, referring to the statements made by the ruling party regarding civility in parliament.
