We are in disgraceful condition: Director of Multirest House addresses Pashinyan
During a discussion that took place in the executive branch, Hovsep Sahakyan, the director of the Multirest House hotel, announced that representatives of the government were informed about the issues facing companies.
Sahakyan noted that due to the current situation, they have lost the opportunity to operate during the high season, failing in July and August, and they hope that the process will advance in September. He emphasized that in October, during the state-level organized COP 17 conference, more than 10,000 guests are expected, and their three hotels—the Multi Grand Papillon, Multirest House, and Multi Grand Resort—are required to accommodate over 600 participants.
The director conveyed that international partners are anxious and have submitted written complaints, as the city is completely overloaded, bookings are made, and it is unclear where they will accommodate the guests.
In response, the executive branch stated that they do not deal with such issues, but representatives of the company are awaiting an answer regarding when their establishments will reopen. Hovsep Sahakyan has appealed to the government and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to open the facilities and allow them to operate, as they have found themselves in a disgraceful situation in front of their employees and international partners.
He added that apart from the financial losses and damages related to staff, they have lost the good reputation and name they had built over the years in the tourism sector.
