VIDEO: Anahit Avanesyan on Licensing of Healthcare Workers

The Acting Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, has discussed the licensing system for healthcare workers in a video posted on Facebook. "As you know, the law stipulated that starting from 2027, our healthcare workers must be licensed. This is an extremely important reform that will help regulate the professional qualifications of our specialists and, of course, issues related to ethics," she stated.

“It is almost impossible to find a country with developed healthcare where doctors are not licensed. I want to say that we are already starting active communication with you regarding organizing this process. In the upcoming week, I will hold two Zoom meetings with primary care doctors and, of course, hospital sector healthcare workers to provide you with more detailed information on how we plan to carry out this process.

“Dear healthcare workers, I want to emphasize from this moment that we will carry out this work together, and we will create an opportunity for you to know and understand transparently the entire examination process. Starting today, I will provide short updates once or twice a week to outline our upcoming tasks and how you can prepare for these examinations. I should mention that the examination process will be conducted using new AI technologies in a transparent and independent format,” stated Anahit Avanesyan, the Acting Minister of Health.
