Counterfeit Medicines Detected in Several Pharmacies: Regulatory Authority Issues Urgent Statement
The Health and Labor Inspectorate has ordered the companies "AKAEM" LLC, "Vaga-Pharm" LLC, and "Theopharma Import" LLC to cease and recall the circulation of several batches of the medication "Omnipaque," urging citizens not to use the specified batches.
According to a statement from the Health and Labor Inspectorate, an order to stop circulation and recall was issued to "AKAEM" LLC, "Vaga-Pharm" LLC, and "Theopharma Import" LLC on May 15, 2026, regarding the medication "Omnipaque (Iohexol), solution for injection, 350 mg I/ml, plastic vials 100 ml (10)" (manufacturer: GE Healthcare, registration certificate holder: GE Healthcare, Norway) for batches 17277315 (expiration date: August 31, 2028), 17323704 (expiration date: August 31, 2028), and 17425028 (expiration date: December 31, 2028).
Dear citizens, please be cautious and avoid using the aforementioned batches of the medication,” the statement says.
