The ECP Summit in Armenia is Historic, Says Costa
The President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, described the holding of the 8th Summit of the European Political Community (ECP) in Armenia as historic in his speech.
According to Costa, this summit is truly of historical significance. It is the first time the organization is meeting in the South Caucasus, positioning Armenia at the center of Europe.
Costa emphasized that today’s meeting was made possible due to the agreement reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He stated that this marks a history of peace for Europe, which is especially crucial in today's war-filled world.
The European Council President assured that the European Union is ready to be a reliable partner in ensuring the irreversibility of peace, opportunities, and prosperity processes.
He highlighted the importance of strengthening democracy in Armenia and combating misinformation and external influences, adding that the country’s democratic future is solely in the hands of its citizens.
