CEC Identifies Issues in Documents of 8 Political Forces Nominated for Elections
The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia convened an extraordinary meeting on April 30 to address the incomplete documentation submitted by political forces aiming to participate in the National Assembly elections scheduled for June 7, 2026. According to the provisions of the Electoral Code, the Commission has given the nominated parties a 48-hour window to rectify the deficiencies in their submitted documents.
These incomplete documents must be corrected by May 2 at 18:00. The political entities involved include:
- “NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC STRUGGLE” ALLIANCE
- ARMENIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS PARTY
- “REPUBLIC” PARTY
- “ALLIANCE” PROGRESSIVE CENTER PARTY
- DEMOCRACY LAW MAINTENANCE PARTY
- “NEW ENERGY” REFORMIST PARTY
- “NATIONAL RECONSTRUCTION AND NATION’S SUPPORT” PARTY
- “PROTECTORS OF THE REPUBLIC” PARTY
The registration of the electoral lists of these political parties/alliances will take place at an extraordinary meeting on May 3.
