What Threatens the Shooter During the Trump-Attended Event
The Acting U.S. Attorney Todd Blanch has announced that the individual involved in the shooting during the White House Correspondents' Association dinner could face life imprisonment. During a press conference, Blanch noted that 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen, a resident of California, has been charged with three counts. Allen is also accused of transporting a firearm across state lines and using it.
Columbia District Attorney Janine Piro indicated that new charges may arise during the investigation process.
The incident occurred on April 25 at the Washington Hilton hotel during the annual dinner of the White House Correspondents' Association. The event was attended by U.S. President Donald Trump and members of the American administration. One Secret Service agent was injured in the shooting, and the shooter has been taken into custody.
