Kuleba Announces Possible Belarusian Attack on Ukraine
According to Ukraine's former Foreign Minister, a swift strike from Belarus is anticipated. Kuleba stated that Alexander Lukashenko is preparing to open a second front, under which the armed forces of the republic are strengthening air defense and deploying combat-ready drones and missiles.
The former official did not specify the source of this information but indicated that Russia intends to 'destroy Ukraine.'
Kuleba essentially reiterated President Vladimir Zelensky's recent statement, in which the latter accused Lukashenko of preparing for an attack and threatened him with 'the fate of Maduro.'
The claims were prompted by the construction of new roads in Belarus, which, according to Zelensky, could be used for troop movement. Despite the recurring similar statements from Ukrainian politicians, they have yet to materialize. The Belarusian side will not enter the conflict unless Ukraine initiates military actions first. Currently, there are almost no Russian troops on the territory of the republic, leaving this direction to remain the calmest for Kyiv.
