Compensation Procedure for Air Tickets Approved by the Armenian Foreign Ministry
During its meeting on April 9, the Armenian government approved the procedure for providing compensation for air tickets for citizens returning to the Republic of Armenia due to military operations and security situations in the Middle East. This was reported by the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
According to the decision, the government will provide compensation of up to 250,000 AMD to citizens of the Republic of Armenia whose direct or transit flights for return to Armenia have been canceled due to military operations in the Middle East, and who have purchased new tickets or made paid changes to their tickets for their return to Armenia.
The decision applies to the period from February 28 to March 25, 2026, specifically for:
- New tickets purchased with a passport of a citizen of the Republic of Armenia due to ticket cancellation,
- Citizens of the Republic of Armenia who traveled to the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, the State of Kuwait, or the State of Israel for educational purposes, who purchased tickets and returned to the Republic of Armenia due to the security situation.
