Avanesyan Reports on Increase in Healthcare Workers' Salaries
The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, announced online consultations with the heads of regional and Yerevan healthcare institutions to provide preliminary summaries of salary figures for healthcare workers in the first two months following the insurance investment.
According to her Facebook post, "Preliminary findings:
1. Salaries for family doctors, therapists, and pediatricians have increased by 20-40%.
2. Salaries for specialists have risen on average between 50% and double.
3. Salaries for psychiatrists, phthisiatrists, pediatric cardiologists, epidemiologists, and pediatric gynecologists at polyclinics have been partially compensated by healthcare facilities, or efforts are being made to ensure the provision of consultations.
In the near future, we will present re-profiling and several other measures to address the issue. Work is underway to find solutions so that in the coming months, these specialized professionals can also record salary increases. A unified format for nurses and midwives at healthcare centers under the Ministry of Health will also be considered.
The online meeting was attended by the heads of 55 healthcare centers under the Ministry of Health across the regions and Yerevan," she wrote.
