Macron Calls on Pezeshkian
French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that he spoke with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, during which he urged Iran to cease attacks on countries in the Middle East.
“I just spoke with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. I urged him to immediately stop the unacceptable attacks that Iran is carrying out against countries in the region, both directly and through its intermediaries, including in Lebanon and Iraq,” Macron wrote on his social media pages.
Macron also called for the immediate restoration of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
