Armenia Must Learn Lessons from Events in Iran: Narek Karapetyan
Narek Karapetyan, a member of the council of the "Strong Armenia" party, believes that Armenia should draw lessons from the events unfolding in Iran. He expressed this opinion in an interview with Armenia TV.
"The lesson from the events in Iran is that we need guarantors to achieve peace. Iran has engaged in numerous transactions with the West, but lacking guarantees, it today faces challenges alone from regional countries and global powers. We must learn that peace can be achieved not only through agreements, but also requires multiple guarantors," he said.
According to Narek Karapetyan, the industrial potential of Iran will decrease as a result of the war; however, Iran and Armenia will continue to cooperate. "Iran is set to become more of a raw material exporting country and can supply Armenia with raw materials such as oil products, raw materials for metallurgical production, and more. This is a complementary and interesting direction for the Armenian economy, meaning Iran will continue to be an interesting neighbor economically, and we will remain in the field of mutual interests," Narek Karapetyan noted.
