Russia to Continue Oil Supplies to Cuba
In recent years, Russia has been supplying oil to Cuba and intends to continue this practice. This was stated by Viktor Koronelli, Russia's ambassador to Cuba, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to him, Moscow is of the view that oil supplies will not be halted.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Cuba is in a serious economic situation and has lost its main sources of income. On January 30, he declared a state of emergency in the U.S. due to a national security threat emanating from Cuba, to which Havana also declared a state of emergency in response.
Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed on February 2 that Russia is willing to provide Cuba with political and material support.
