Landslide on Yerevan-Meghri Highway: Road Closed in One Direction
On February 1, at 08:40, the Crisis Management Center of the Vayots Dzor Regional Rescue Service received information about a landslide on the Yerevan-Meghri highway, specifically in the section between the intersection near the village of Herher and the junction of Jermuk.
An operational group from the regional rescue service's firefighting and rescue squad was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a landslide occurred at kilometer 145 of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, causing the road to be closed in one direction. Rescuers cleared the fallen rocks from the trafficable area, and traffic has been restored in both directions.
