Some Roads Closed: Travel Only with Winter Tires
The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads from the 'Amberd' high-altitude meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and Lake Kary are closed in the Aragatsotn region.
The roads in the Ashotsk and Amasia regions, as well as the Vardenyats Pass, are difficult to traverse for vehicles with trailers due to heavy snow.
The Spitak winding roads are also closed to vehicles with trailers.
There is black ice at some points on the roads in the regions of Aparan, Aragats, Sevan, Jambarak, Martuni, Gavar, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Nairi, Goris, Ashotsk, and Amasia.
Snow is falling in the regions of Ararat, Yeghrvnadzor, Vayk, Sisian, Baghramyan, Talin, Artik, Ashotsk, Aragats, Spitak, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Nairi, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Sevan, Dilijan, Gavar, Martuni, and Jambarak.
Motorists are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
