Syrian Army Officially Announces Operations Against SDF

The Syrian Army has announced the commencement of targeted strikes against the positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) located in the Ashrafiyeh, Sheikh Maqsud, and Bani Zayd neighborhoods of Aleppo, starting at 1:30 PM. A curfew has been declared in these areas.

The army has urged the civilian population to stay away from all SDF positions. It is noteworthy that clashes that began on January 6 in central Aleppo resulted in the death of one soldier and five civilians, and 31 others were injured.

Additionally, the Syrian Army has deployed extra forces, including dozens of tanks and armored vehicles, to the front lines with the Syrian Democratic Forces. Due to the clashes, official institutions in the city center have been closed, and schools and universities have suspended classes.
