How the Quota of 15,000 Electric Vehicles Will Be Distributed: Papoyan Details
Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan has detailed how the quota of 15,000 electric vehicles will be distributed throughout 2026. “So, here’s the breakdown. Out of the 15,000 electric vehicle quota, 12,000 will be allocated to individuals and legal entities that are not dealers. Meanwhile, 3,000 will be distributed to dealer legal entities, meaning those who are official representatives of any manufacturer in Armenia.
The next piece of news is that to qualify for the exemption from customs duties and to benefit from this quota, the vehicle must be manufactured in 2024, 2025, or 2026. There are also more questions regarding the time frame in which imported vehicles can benefit from this exemption and when you can submit customs registrations to take advantage of it. I will address those questions in the next video,” he stated. For more details, watch the video.
