Kurds Do Not Wish to Integrate with Syria, SANA Reports
The autonomous Kurdish administration of Syria shows no intention of fulfilling the agreements aimed at integrating into a unified administration under the Syrian government, stated Syrian Foreign Minister Assad al-Shabani during a meeting with a Turkish delegation in Damascus.
"The agreement signed on March 10 with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) is an expression of the desire to unify Syrian territories. However, we do not see the real will to implement it. We received a response yesterday and are examining it," al-Shabani's remarks were quoted by the Syrian state news agency SANA.
The Syrian minister emphasized that the completion of the integration process is necessary for bolstering the stability of the state and needs to be finalized.
