Armenia Ready to Engage in Trade with Azerbaijan Beyond Oil Products, Says Alen Simonyan
Armenia is prepared to collaborate with Azerbaijan. This statement was made by the Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, during a press conference following the conference dedicated to the International Human Rights Day, responding to the announcement from Azerbaijan's presidential assistant Hikmet Hajiyev regarding discussions between Yerevan and Baku about the export of oil and petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia.
“We should not focus solely on petroleum products; there should be a circulation of all kinds of goods. We are ready for this. The 'Crossroads of Peace' and all discussions about peace are about this. It's about all kinds of goods, and the first was wheat. The more alternative sources of energy there are, whether it be gas or something else, the better it is for Armenia,” stated Simonyan.
