Iran to Begin Production of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
The Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade, Mohammad Atabaki, has announced that a new production line for hybrid and electric vehicles will be introduced by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (which started on March 21, 2025).
The minister pointed out that the launch of the new production line for hybrid vehicles will be a significant advancement in improving the local automotive industry as well as reducing the level of environmental pollution. The engines of the hybrid and electric vehicles are designed to minimize fuel consumption significantly, Atabaki emphasized.
Previously, a representative of the ministry mentioned that in the first five months of the current Persian year, production of hybrid vehicles in Iran has increased by 45 percent compared to the same period last year.
