Illegal Weapons, Ammunition, and Drugs Discovered in Yerevan: 29 Individuals Arrested
As part of crime prevention measures, the Police of the Republic of Armenia continues its efforts to detect and seize illegal weapons and ammunition. Based on operational data received at the police station, the Criminal Police Department has carried out a subsequent operation.
Personnel from the Criminal Police Department and the Yerevan City Division received operational information about several individuals who are unlawfully storing weapons and ammunition at their homes and in their vehicles.
As a result of extensive operational and investigative measures, criminal proceedings have been initiated, leading to searches at 47 addresses and in 9 vehicles belonging to various individuals.
Weapons, ammunition, and drugs including cocaine, marijuana, and methadone solution have been discovered. A total of 29 individuals have been arrested and presented to the investigative body. The investigation is ongoing.
