Pashinyan on the ‘Trump Corridor’ Project: Intensive Work Underway with the U.S.
During a discussion in the National Assembly on the draft state budget for 2026, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that intensive work is currently underway with the United States on the implementation of the ‘Trump Corridor’ (TRIPP) communication project.
Pashinyan stated that the program is new for both Armenia and the region and includes several nuances. He assured that discussions would soon be initiated to address issues quickly and to ensure the project's implementation.
The Prime Minister also quoted from the text of the program, noting that it concerns the opening of communications between Armenia and Azerbaijan based on respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and jurisdiction of both states. The initiative aims to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
He added that the ‘Trump Corridor for International Peace and Prosperity’ program envisions Armenia's collaboration with the U.S. and mutually agreed third parties to define the framework for the project's implementation.
