Earthquake in Turkey
An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale has been recorded in Turkey's Balıkesir province. The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported the incident. The earthquake occurred near the town of Sindirgi in Balıkesir province at a depth of 7.7 kilometers.
Seismologists from the Kandilli Observatory assessed the tremor at a magnitude of 5.1, with the epicenter's depth measured at 13.7 kilometers. The seismic activity was also felt in western Istanbul.
