Zelenskyy Sets Conditions for Ceasefire with Russia
The resolution process of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict must begin with the establishment of a ceasefire. This was stated by Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his Telegram channel, commenting on the results of a phone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“The end of this war must start with an unconditional ceasefire, mandatory silence,” he wrote. The Ukrainian leader insists that “everyone understands and supports” this stance.
He also noted that the Indian side is ready to make the necessary efforts to silence the guns. According to the political figure, New Delhi will “send a signal to Russia” and to other country leaders during meetings on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, which will be held in Tianjin, China, on August 31 and September 1.
“It is impossible to talk meaningfully about peace when our cities are under constant fire,” he emphasized.
