Tehran Ready to Resume Indirect Talks with Washington, Araqchi
Tehran is ready to resume indirect negotiations with Washington on the nuclear issue, provided it is assured that attacks by the United States and Israel will not recur. This was stated by Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in an interview with the 'Asharq Al Awsat' newspaper.
"We are prepared to engage in indirect talks with the United States if the Americans assure us that no military actions will be initiated during these negotiations. We need guarantees that these will be honest and fair discussions, which will satisfy the interests of both parties and be based on mutual benefit," Araqchi said.
