Labor and Experts from Iran to Arrive in Armenia for Various Projects
Armenia and Iran have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation in the fields of urban construction and architecture during the official visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Armenia. This information has been released by the RA Committee of Urban Development.
The memorandum was signed by the Chairman of the RA Committee of Urban Development, Yeghiazaryan Vardanyan, and the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mrs. Farzaneh Sadegh.
The signed document outlines several key areas of cooperation, particularly involving the engagement of experts and labor from Iran in the construction projects of 300 schools and 500 kindergartens being carried out in Armenia, as well as in the exchange of experience in spatial planning, zoning, and other technical and engineering services.
Additionally, the parties will collaborate on building construction and operation, implementation of energy-efficient innovative solutions, export of engineering services, and the development and implementation of joint research projects.
One of the important goals will be to exchange knowledge and experience in the fields of seismic safety and seismic-resistant construction, as well as cooperation between the relevant institutions of the two countries in the digitalization of urban planning.
The memorandum also anticipates collaboration between organizations representing sectoral professionals from Armenia and Iran, universities, and research centers, as well as the joint organization of professional exhibitions and conferences.
