Baku on Absence of Azerbaijani Delegation in Moscow
The absence of the Azerbaijani delegation at the CIS Economic Council meeting in Moscow can be explained by several objective reasons. This was stated by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the External Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"The absence of the Azerbaijani delegation from the Economic Council meeting in Moscow can be explained by a number of objective reasons, but this has nothing to do with the current state of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. This can be attributed to various factors, including changes in the personal schedules of delegation members," he said.
According to the President's assistant, this event is held within the framework of the CIS, and the bilateral agenda issues between Russia and Azerbaijan have no relation to it.
It should be recalled that the Azerbaijani side had previously announced that Baku would not participate in the 106th Economic Council meeting of the CIS.
