Turkey's Foreign Ministry on Stopping Israeli Military Machine and Aggression
Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated at the United Nations that Israel's aggressive actions demonstrate its desire for neither peace nor stability, presenting a threat to the region, TASS reports.
"Israel's attacks deepen ethnic divides in the region. It should be clear to all of us that Israel does not want peace; it does not seek stability. Israel is attempting to implement its aggression strategy not only in Palestine but also in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran," the minister said.
He believes that the UN Security Council has failed and deviated from the values and principles upon which the UN was established. "The Gaza crisis has surpassed the humanitarian emergency. It is a profound test of our shared humanity. Either we will pass this test together or we will fail together. What needs to be done is clear: stop the Israeli military machine, end impunity, ensure an immediate and lasting ceasefire, facilitate humanitarian aid, and commit to a two-state solution," Fidan emphasized.
