Russia Approves Agreement with Armenia Regarding the Russian-Armenian University
The Russian government has approved an intergovernmental agreement with Armenia concerning the operational conditions of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University (RASU). The document has been submitted for ratification by the State Duma.
“The agreement will provide a new impetus for the university's development, allow for the optimization of its management mechanisms, and create additional opportunities for academic mobility,” added Mogilevsky.
It is noteworthy that on July 3, the Armenian National Assembly ratified the agreement. The new agreement foresees a revision of the financing principles of the educational institution and the procedures for forming its leadership, as well as addressing accumulated organizational and legal issues.
