Russian Ice Cream Imports Suspended by FSRA
According to a decision by the head of the Food Safety Inspection Body, the import of ice cream produced by the Russian company "Fabrika Nastoyashchiego Morozenogo" (brand name: "Korovka"), specifically the "Eskimo Plombir Vanilla Chocolate Dessert" type, has been temporarily banned in Armenia starting July 2, 2025.
This decision was made based on an assessment of food safety risks. The ban applies to batches imported after July 2, 2025. There will be no restrictions on products imported prior to this date.
It is important to note that a batch produced on March 7, 2025, (weighing 100 grams with a shelf life of 18 months) did not meet the standards set by the Customs Union technical regulations for the presence of microbial indicators of intestinal rods. A decree has been issued for this batch to prohibit its distribution, recall from the market, destruction, or disposal.
