Death Toll Rises in Airplane Crash in India
More than 310 people have died as a result of the crash of an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner in western India. This information was reported by the New Indian Express newspaper. Earlier reports indicated more than 290 fatalities. The casualties include those on the aircraft as well as victims on the ground, as the plane fell on a residential area.
It is noted that today a passenger aircraft crashed near the Ahmedabad airport in Gujarat state, India. The aircraft reportedly went down in a residential neighborhood. According to media reports, the plane belonged to Air India and was en route to London. Roads leading to the crash site are closed. Emergency service brigades are working at the scene.
