Approximately 9.1 Billion AMD Undeclared Turnover Case in the Trade Sector
The State Revenue Committee's Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department has recently uncovered a case of shadow turnover amounting to approximately 9.1 billion AMD, as part of its efforts to combat economic crimes.
Operational information was received by the territorial division No. 12 of the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department, indicating that a company engaged in the sale of food and non-food products in the city of Sevan, Gegharkunik Province, was accepting cash payments for sold goods but failing to issue cash register receipts. Instead, it provided only internal accounting documents.
It has become clear that the company evaded the payment of particularly large taxes. Following comprehensive and extensive operational-investigative measures, the operational data obtained has been confirmed. A preliminary assessment of the damage caused has been conducted, revealing that the state has incurred a loss exceeding 2.6 billion AMD.
