May Snow Causes Chaos in Moscow
The most powerful snowstorm in a century has brought instability to Moscow and the surrounding regions. The weather disaster has caused serious damage to infrastructure and the local populace. Dozens of vehicles have been damaged due to falling trees. In the Moscow region, nearly 30,000 people have been left without electricity following the failure of power lines. The cities of Taldom and Dmitrov have been the most affected.
Rail traffic has also experienced disruptions. Fallen trees in the Savelovsky direction have damaged electrical networks and blocked traffic. Around 200 brigades are currently working in the area to restore traffic and ensure safety. As of now, there are no official reports of injuries.
Local authorities are urging citizens to be cautious and vigilant while moving through the streets.
