Zelensky Confirms Readiness for Dialogue with Russia in Any Format
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has assured that he is open to dialogue with Russia in any format and expressed gratitude to the Vatican for its willingness to serve as a platform for direct negotiations. His remarks were quoted by RIA Novosti.
“Thank you to the Vatican for its willingness to become a platform for direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. We are ready for dialogue in any format, for the sake of real results,” Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel following a meeting with Pope Leo XIV.
On May 16, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Secretary of State of the Vatican, announced that Pope Leo XIV intends to offer the Vatican as a venue for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
