Trump-Erdogan Phone Call Takes Place
A phone conversation took place between U.S. President Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The discussion covered bilateral relations and regional issues. Erdogan has invited Trump to Turkey.
On his social media page, Trump described the conversation as "good and productive." He stated, "We talked about many topics, including the Russia-Ukraine war, Syria, Gaza, and more. The President invited me to Turkey, and he will also come to Washington. During my four years in office, my relationship with President Erdogan was excellent. We worked closely on many issues, including the fact that he helped return imprisoned pastor Andrew Brunson to the United States at my direct request.
In any case, I look forward to working with President Erdogan to put an end to the ridiculous yet deadly war between Russia and Ukraine now."
