Mayor of Marseille Visits Tsitsernakaberd Memorial
The Mayor of Marseille, Benoît Payan, led a delegation to visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial during his trip to Armenia. He was accompanied by members of the Yerevan City Council and the Ambassador of France to Armenia, Olivier Decottignies.
The guests were welcomed by the Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, Editha Gzoyan, who guided them to the memorial and shared the history of its establishment.
Mayor Payan laid a wreath at the monument commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Following this, the guests placed flowers at the Eternal Flame and observed a minute of silence to honor the memories of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.
