Is It Worth Losing Thousands of Soldiers for a Few Miles of Territory? – Pence

US Vice President Jay D. Pence noted in an interview with Fox News that the Donald Trump administration faces a serious challenge in attempting to help Russia and Ukraine find a path to resolving the conflict.

“We want both sides to make some concessions for the sake of stopping the war. We hope they will show wisdom,” Pence said.

According to him, “of course, the Ukrainians are angry about Russia's invasion, and that is understandable, but is it worth continuing to lose thousands of soldiers for just a few miles of territory?”

The Vice President also emphasized that the decision to achieve peace must be made by Ukraine and Russia themselves. “Even President Trump cannot make that decision for them,” Pence concluded his remarks.
