New Tension Between India and Pakistan
Officials from the defense ministries of India and Pakistan have discussed ceasefire violations along the border between the two countries. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing sources.
"The Directors General of Military Operations from India and Pakistan held a hotline conversation yesterday to discuss unprovoked violations of the ceasefire by Pakistan. India has warned Pakistan about unprovoked violations occurring along the Line of Control under Pakistan's control," the sources stated.
Earlier, the Indian Army announced that it has recorded unprovoked fire from Pakistani troops for the sixth consecutive night along the Line of Control and the international border in the Jammu and Kashmir region.
The tension between India and Pakistan escalated following a terrorist attack near the town of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22. The attack was claimed by a group called the 'Resistance Front,' which is linked to the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba based in Russia. As a result of the attack, 25 Indians and one Nepali were killed.
