We Cannot Continue to Allocate Time and Resources to These Efforts: Rubio
A peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine should be concluded soon. The U.S. will decide in the coming weeks whether to continue mediation on the Ukraine issue or focus on other matters. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with NBC.
“We cannot continue to allocate time and resources to these efforts if they are not yielding results. Last week was really devoted to clarifying how close these sides actually are, and whether they are close enough to justify our continued efforts as a mediator. This is what we are trying to determine this week. There are reasons to be optimistic, but there are also causes for concern,” Rubio said.
However, he did not specify how long the Trump administration is willing to wait for progress.
