There Are Several Discrepancies: Araqchian Comments on Negotiations with the U.S.
The Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister Abbas Araqchian has stated that he is pleased with the progress of negotiations with the United States aimed at resolving the crisis surrounding the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program. However, he added that "our optimism is exceedingly cautious."
"We are satisfied with the progress of the negotiations; both sides are serious, and I am optimistic about reaching an agreement, but I maintain a reserved approach," he said.
Araqchian noted that the dialogue has taken place in a more serious atmosphere, yet certain discrepancies have arisen, necessitating additional consultations among the parties involved. "The third round of negotiations proved to be more serious than the previous ones, and we are gradually delving into technical details," Araqchian stated.
According to him, there are several discrepancies regarding specific issues, "some are serious, while others are not."
