Varazdat Lalayan Becomes Double Champion of Europe
In the nearing conclusion of the European Weightlifting Championships in Moldova, the current world and European champion, and Olympic silver medalist Varazdat Lalayan (+109 kg) has become a double champion.
Previously, Garik Karapetyan (109 kg) became the European champion, while Liana Gyurjyan (87 kg) and Simon Martirosyan (109 kg) secured the titles of European vice-champions. Rafik Harutyunyan (81 kg), Gor Sahakyan (73 kg), and Alexandra Grigoryan (55 kg) also showcased remarkable performances. Additionally, Davit Hovhannisyan (96 kg) and Garnik Cholakyan (61 kg) earned bronze medals.
