Putin Makes a Statement
Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that fighting has resumed on the front lines following the conclusion of the Easter ceasefire. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
According to him, "Russia has always had a positive attitude towards ceasefires," which is why he proposed this initiative. Putin declared the ceasefire on Saturday, effective from April 19 at 18:00 Moscow time until April 21 at 00:00.
During the Easter ceasefire, which lasted a total of 30 hours, Putin prohibited any military operations in the area of the special military operation in Ukraine. He also ordered the monitoring of actions by Ukrainian soldiers that could violate the strike moratorium and to swiftly counter any attacks from the Ukrainian armed forces.
