Dilijan Passes Closed: Current Situation on Armenian Highways
The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.
The road from the high mountainous meteorological station "Amberd" in the Aragatsotn region to Kar lake is closed. The road from the Jermuk intersection to the Saravan-Zanger section is closed to trucks, and the Dilijan Passes are also closed for heavy vehicles. The Spitak Pass is difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers.
Snow has fallen in the Gegharkunik and Syunik regions, except for the cities of Kapan and Meghri, in the Saravan-Zanger section, the Aragats and Aparan regions, as well as in the cities of Jermuk and Dilijan.
Fog is reported on the Vardenyats Pass, in the high-altitude areas of Syunik, in the Dilijan passes, as well as in the villages of Zorakan, Khaghagh and along the Berd-Jambarak highway.
Regarding the Lars situation: According to information received from the emergency management department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to all types of vehicles.
