Triple Olympic Champion Buvaisar Saitiev Has Passed Away
Buvaisar Saitiev, a triple Olympic champion in freestyle wrestling, has passed away, as reported by РИА Новости, citing Mikhail Mamiashvili, the president of the Russian Wrestling Federation. Saitiev was 49 years old. The official cause of his death has not been disclosed.
In response to an inquiry from Interfax, Mamiashvili stated, “I don’t know anything. I will go to the hospital, it will be clear.” According to preliminary data from the Baza Telegram channel, Saitiev was hospitalized on March 2 in one of the hospitals in Moscow, suspected of poisoning, and died from cardiac arrest.
