"It feels like an atomic bomb has dropped in these areas" - Los Angeles Sheriff
Los Angeles Sheriff Robert Luna compared the aftermath of wildfires raging in California to the detonation of an atomic bomb. This was reported by CNN, referencing Luna's remarks during a press conference.
"Los Angeles Sheriff Robert Luna stated that it feels like an atomic bomb has dropped in these areas," the outlet reported.
Luna noted that while, according to his data, the current death toll from the fires stands at 10, he has doubts about this figure. He expressed hope that the number of casualties would not increase, but given the devastation caused by the fires, he is "not expecting good news."
