Russian War Drags On: Trump Discusses with Scholz in Phone Call
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump have agreed during a phone conversation that Russia's war against Ukraine is dragging on for too long.
As noted by the official representative of the German Chancellor, Steffen Hebestreit, "the focus of the conversation was the security challenges in Europe," reports the German publication Deutsche Welle.
"They agreed that the Russian war against Ukraine is lasting too long and that it is essential to pursue a fair, just, and sustainable path to peace as soon as possible," Hebestreit stated.
The Federal Chancellor confirmed that he will continue to support Ukraine's defense against Russian military aggression for as long as necessary.
