Scholz Calls Russia's Attack with 'Oreshnik' Missile Horrifying Escalation

The Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, has described the strike by Russian armed forces using the advanced medium-range missile system 'Oreshnik' on Ukrainian territory as a horrifying escalation.

“The fact that Putin is now also using a medium-range missile to strike Ukrainian territory is a terrifying escalation,” Scholz said during a speech at the Social Democratic Party congress in Berlin.

It is noteworthy that on November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that in response to the actions of Western countries, Russia has struck Ukraine with the 'Oreshnik' medium-range missile system.
