Under What Conditions Will Drivers Be Exempt from Property Tax? New Decision
The government has just approved amendments to the tax code that stipulate automobile owners will be exempt from property tax if their vehicle has been stolen.
Accordingly, owners of vehicles that are outside their control due to criminal activity will be relieved of the obligation to pay property tax for that vehicle, and the community will have the actual ability to collect property tax from the individual who committed the crime.
It is noteworthy that under the current regulations, even if a vehicle is stolen and a criminal case is initiated, the owner is still obligated to pay the property tax.
