The Issue Is Not the Declaration of Independence: Tigran Abrahamyan
According to Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'I Have Honor' faction, the context of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that 'the Declaration of Independence is part of Armenia's non-existence' pertains to provisions regarding Armenia and Artsakh, which Azerbaijan continuously circulates and presents as a precondition for the resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
'I believe this is yet another opportunity for Azerbaijan, as even if there was no mention of this in the Declaration, they would find another occasion to bring it to the forefront. Look, there is no mention of this anywhere—in the Declaration of Independence or in the Armed Forces—but Azerbaijan has put forth a precondition in the peace process. Therefore, the issue here is not the Declaration of Independence, which Nikol Pashinyan is also trying to present to the public as a threat, and this is also preparing the ground for constitutional changes in the future.'
